Shin'ichirô Ueda was born on 7 April 1984 in Kinomoto, Shiga, Japan [now Nagahama, Shiga, Japan]. Yugo Saso was born in Shiga, Japan. At the age of 18, he moved to Vancouver, Canada. He studied acting at Gastown Actors Studio and participated in many local theatre productions and independent film productions. In 1998, he moved to Taiwan where he lived for about a year and a half. In 2000, Yugo got an opportunity to play a principal role in a feature film "To End All Wars" along with Robert Carlyle and Kiefer Sutherland. For the next four years, he worked with former Imperial Army translator Takashi Nagase who is the model of Yugo's role in "To End All Wars" and traveled around Thailand, Myanmar, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea for the memorial services and the remains of the War dead searches and participated in peace activities to face the real post-war issue.
In 2007, Yugo auditioned for a film "United Red Army" directed by Koji Wakamatsu and played Koichi Teraoka who was executed during Asama-Sanso Incident. Later, Yugo fortunately got acquainted with Teraoka's mother and she kindly shared generally unrevealed bereaved family's perspective towards the incident with Yugo. In 2009, a short film "Jitensha" in which Yugo played a lead role, was officially selected by 66th Venice International Film Festival of Corto Cortissimo. And Yugo received the Award for Best Actor at 5th SAPPORO Short Fest. Hiroshi Ishiguro is the director of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, which is part of the Department of Systems Innovation in the Graduate School of Engineering Science at Osaka University in Japan. One of the notable developments of the laboratory is the Actroid, a humanoid robot with lifelike appearance and visible behavior such as facial movements. In robot development, Ishiguro concentrates on the idea of making a robot that is as similar as possible to a live human being. Ishiguro has also made an android that resembles him, simply called the Geminoid. The Geminoid has been used as a "teacher" to teach his classes at Osaka University of Japan. Tadashi Sawashima was born on 19 May 1926 in Kotou, Shiga, Japan. He was a director and writer, known for Jigoku no kazeku-ruma (1960), Isshin Tasuke: The Man of Men (1959) and Gentle Breeze (1959). He died on 27 January 2018.- Born Yokoyama Yataro, the young man was in a theatre troupe in 1893 until in 1899 he moved to Tokyo to join another theatre company. In that same year the Japanese begin to use film cameras and make movies. The official first film of Japan was Pisutoru gôtô Shimizu Sadakichi (1899) the story of an escape from jail where Yataro played the role of a policeman. He next moved to Japan's Kansai region and participated in different performance groups. In 1912 he joined multiple film companies ending up appearing on camera in over 300 films. His last film was Chushingura (1962), which happened to be Setsuko Hara's final movie as well.
